Notes

Extent: 1 printed map
Dimensions: 40 x 52 cm.
General_note: A mid-19th century copy of a mid-17th century Amsterdam printing by Jacobsz, the "original on vellum in the collection of E.B. O'Callaghan, L.L.D." The copy carries the celebrated cartouche/logo of the Jacobsz family of publisher-printers: a pilot ("Lootsman") with a leadline and sextant; the copy is attractively hand-colored.
Medium: black ink, with hand-coloring, on paper backed with paper board
Local_note: The interpolated date in brackets, 1621, is evidently erroneous. See the pencil note in the bottom margin of Map 7302 .2 and Stokes, II, pp. 150-151.
