General_note: This is a photoreproduction of the Tuesday, September 25 (year?), copy by the London Times of a 1506 Italian original. Printed notice beneath map image: "We reproduce above the Western half of an Italian world map dated 1506, which has been acquired for the British Museum. As is explained in an article in the present issue, this is apparently the first printed map in which the discoveries of Columbus and his contemporaries are set down."
